Idioms

Idioms are words, usually phrases (groups of words), that you cannot understand by their literal meaning. Every language has idioms specific to it and its culture. They are used in everyday conversations, on television ads, shows and movies. You can't understand what they mean by translating each word and then putting it all together as a whole, it just doesn't work that way and you'll end up with something that looks like a big jumble. You really need to learn the idioms in order to understand them. Here I will try to add as many as possible along with their meanings.
