It's Business Time!!

May I introduce you to New Zealand's "fourth most popular comedy duo" - The Flight of the Conchords.
Man, I love these guys. Absolutely hilarious!
I've been going crazy over Youtube the past few days, watching as many videos as I can find.
This is just one of their classics, 'Business Time'...I STRONGLY advise you watch it =D
(Would also recommend 'Albi the Racist Dragon' and 'The Humans are Dead' as well :) )
Enjoy!

For those that believe they never ever get paid ANY attention:

How about going and getting this tattoo done!

Yes, that is really a tattoo!

I really can't think of why anybody would want to get such a design etched into their face!
It'd be funny after the first hour you get it done or something...but imagine living with this on your face FOREVER (Haha imagine the look once you're old and wrinkly)!
The humour of it would die away very, very quickly.
You would have to explain to every second person that yes, it is most definitely a tattoo.

That's all for tonight. Just a short one.
Now gonna have a nice cuppa with my $14,000 teabag, comprising of 280 diamonds.

It better be the best tea I've ever had...
...and considering I don't like tea that's gonna be fairly tricky...

*Georgia update: She had her surgery on Thursday (refer to 2 blogs ago) and is doing great :) She has plaster on both legs (from knees down to toes) and her legs already look much straighter. Bit drowsy, which is expected, but in very little pain :). Doctors and nurses seem pleased, which is definitely a positive sign. Everything's going well - she might even be home tomorrow!

Lately...

Hey all

Hehe well comments in the last post amused me muchly. Hehehe.
I was surprised that nobody knew what 'M.I.A' meant, actually. It's a military term, short for 'missing in action,' normally used to describe a missing/dead troop. So, Pete, you weren't far off with your 'me is away' guess!
Actually, that's probably a more accurate answer, seeing as I'm not dead and I'm not exactly missing. It was more of a case of not going to blog for a while...lots been going on.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Firstly, in the last couple of weeks, I've decided to move out of home. I haven't done a lot towards that as yet and I'm still living here at the moment. Done a little bit of looking over the internet for 2 bedroom units. Unfortunately I soon discovered that I wouldn't be able to cover the cost even on the cheapest unit there on my own. So at the moment it's more a case of hunting for a roomy, although my sister is thinking about moving in with me, which would be cool but we'll have to see.
There will also have to be a few modifications done to it here and there, which isn't as tricky as it sounds, just a ramp or two. My wheelchair will be there and will help with reaching things.
Then there's the question of where to move? It'd be handy to live close to home so Mum can come here and help out when needed, plus I don't want to move too far away from them. :)
But I need somewhere close-ish to Tafe so taxi fares aren't too high as well. So yeah. Bit to think about there.
How do I feel about moving out? Truthfully, not completely comfortable about the whole idea. It's not really happening under the best of circumstances. It's more a case of needing to move out, rather than wanting.
But it will be for the best I think.

Planning a road trip with a couple of friends, Avanthi and Josh, up to Port Macquarie for a week (north NSW, near Surfer's Paradise) on the 29th September - 5th October. Getting exciting! It's with the SSPA (long explanation required, in a nutshell: association for people with dwarfism), just a week hanging out, meeting new people, seeing old friends, doing various activities.
Going to put our registrations and deposits in this week. Planning to make the drive up in a day, should take about 12 hours, including breaks. Big trip!
It's taking a bit to plan, deciding what activities we want to do and how much we want to spend - but it's part of the fun :). The only problem is that the place we've booked is up for sale! We're hoping that it won't be sold before then because it's a bargain - approx. $166ea for the whole week! We'll find out for sure if we can have it in about a month.
Doubtful we're going to find a place so cheap anywhere else. It's also really nice - on a hill overlooking the beach. Once I know the name exactly and find the website I'll link it!
Looking forward to it!!

I have started using legalsounds.com. $1 albums! Ooohhh yes! =D

And have discovered the goodness of Smirnoff Double Black. Hehehe...

Tafe's still going well. Have taken up a Computer Skills subject and learning really high tech stuff like
...
OPENING WORD DOCUMENTS!!
Lol seriously, that's the kind of stuff we're doing! Though we're using Macs so that's taking a bit to wrap my head around...

My wheelchair's on the way to breaking down...

My youngest sister, Georgia, is having surgery on the 9th on her ankles. Her ankles at the moment sort of make her feet turn inwards. She's being really good about the whole thing, can't wait to get it done actually. She gets quite a few problems in her legs as her joints are quite loose, so they can ache sometimes. I think it's a relief for her just knowing that this will help and she'll be able to get around easier. She'll probably be in plaster afterwards, but it sounds like she'll only need to be in hospital a few days, which we're all very pleased and relieved about.

A week before the term started, the principal at my brother and sisters school got the sack. In response to that, several (have heard numbers between 8 and 14...) staff members left. Crazy stuff. I don't know why this happened exactly, have heard a number of stories but nothing definite so I shan't give reasons...as I don't have them! No one really saw it coming so it was a pretty big shock finding out. Personal opinion on it all? They've lost a great principal and a lot of fantastic teachers who I hold in high esteem. Makes me wonder was it all thought through properly? It's thrown the whole system in chaos by the sounds of it, leaving kids, parents and staff a bit lost in the whole thing...
*Scratches head*

Sadly, a couple of weeks ago a good family friend of ours passed away, Steven Eames. It came as a huge shock as he was only 27 and nobody knows how it happened. He was a particularly good friend to my aunty, Hannah. They had gone out and were engaged in fact, and although it didn't work out they still remained good friends. Instead of an engagement ring, Steven had a star registered under Hannah's name. After Steven's death, in remembrance of him, Han registered a star under his name. He has been very much part of the family for around 5 or more years, and will be very much missed.

Somewhere amongst the billions of stars in the heavens is one under his name:

'Steven Eames - Forever Shining Bright'
